I am so happy to see so many people spending time with their grandparents. Sadly I could not have my grandparents join me because they are in Nelson and one in Heaven.

END OF TERM 2!!!!!!

OK lets just say this term has been AMAZING! 
I Would Like you to comment what you are going to do in the holidays. I think my goal for next term is to stay on task at least 90% of the time. 

So this term we have signed up to a website called read theory. It is a site where it gives you a story to read then you have to answer questions about the story. Here is some images!

Writing
This week for writing we have been doing speeches! I LOVE SPEECHES!! I am doing my speech on the school production (which I am in). I won't share my speech with you though because that will spoil it for my class.

Reading
This week for reading Group 2 (my group) have read Mrs Wildings Potatoes. This book is about a old lady called Mrs Wilding who has a great garden. She asked the boys to help her with a bag of compost. But the boys were in a hurry to meet a new all black. They helped Mrs Wilding but Corban (the all black) had all ready arrived. He answered  questions but did not sign balls. The boys were bummed out that the old lady held them up. Read the journal to find out what happens next!

Word work
Since we have been doing speeches this week we were working on strong words. Strong Words are words that make your writing better. We picked 8 words to use in out speech and we had to find out the meanings of them. Here is my work!

This week for reading we have read a book called Leave. It is about a girl called Jade and her Mum had to go to the army. Jades Mum needed her hat to go to the army so Jade hid the hat under the hedge so her Mum had to stay home. Jades Mum left without it though. WALT to write a introduction about Shanty Town. This week for literacy we have been learning about Shanty Town. We have made a google drawing. We made this in partners my partner was Sebastian. I think this was really fun and I learnt about how long ago Shanty Town opened and that Shanty Town opened on the 23 of January 1971. I also learnt how to write an introduction.

Hannah and I also made a spine poem out of five books it was really funny here is my spine poem.

He has had enough of hospitals so he decides to climb to the top of Mt Rainier. He literately goes through it all. He nearly gets beet to death, he nearly drowns in a ice cold river, his dog nearly dies, he has to lie about who he was and along with that he has to fight his illness. Go read the book its great!

I love this book. This book is about a fox named Mr fox and his family live in a fox hole. Mr fox would go out and steel a chicken each night and the farmer would mad. The farmer wanted to shot the whole family of foxes. My favorite part is when the foxes home gets fixed again.

I think this book is so cool. This book is about two horrible people that keep monkeys in cages and glue birds to trees so they can eat them. The"Twits" used to be in a monkey circus. They trained monkeys to do everything on there heads. Even the baby monkey. The monkeys even ate on there heads! The twits started to prank each other. The best part in the story is when the monkeys in the cage brake free.
I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars because I didn't like that they keep monkeys in cages. 
If you like pranks this book is for you.

Term 1 Week 4 Electronics

Yesterday we did an electronic session with Andrew. We learn how to make a LED circuit. I thought it was fun but i had real bad eyesight then because I got something in my eye.
